The IN-fluence 500 Challenge: Lap 3 – Learn the Course

Thank you to all of the incredible advocates who have participated in Lap 1 and Lap 2 of the IN-fluence 500 Challenge! If you haven’t participated yet, it is not too late to join us for Lap 3!

Lap 3 is all about learning the course! Before advocating for change, volunteers need to understand Indiana’s legislative process. This lap also introduces participants to the policy priorities that American Heart Association Heart Powered volunteers will focus on during the upcoming legislative session. By understanding both the process and the priorities, you’ll be ready to take action when opportunities arise.

Lap 3 runs from October 15 to October 21.

Here are the pit stops for Lap 3:

  1. Learn about Indiana’s legislative process.
  2. Read up on the Association’s top 3 policy priorities for the 2027 legislative session.
  3. Choose your passion policy!
  4. Learn/ review Hands-Only CPR!
