The IN-fluence 500 Challenge: Lap 1 – Start Your Engines

Welcome to Lap 1 of the IN-fluence 500 Challenge.

Before a driver can compete, they must meet their crew, understand the course, and prepare for race day. The same is true for advocacy. This introductory lap helps volunteers connect with American Heart Association Heart Powered, understand who represents them, and learn how to stay engaged year-round. Lap 1 begins on September 30th and closes on October 7th. 

Here are the steps for Lap 1:

  1. Attend the IN-fluence 500 Challenge Kickoff call on September 30th. Click here to watch the recording.
  2. Look up your elected officials. You can do that by entering your home address here. 
  3. Save the date for Indiana 2027 Heart at the Capitol Advocacy Day: Tuesday, January 26, 2027.
