Open a Door, Save a Life: Help Bring American Heart Association Programs to Local Schools

At the American Heart Association, we know the power of passionate advocates like you. Through Heart Powered, you’ve:

  • Championed Hands-Only CPR
  • Supported lifesaving legislation
  • Advocated for healthier communities

Now, we’re inviting you to take the next step: Help connect local schools to our life-changing programs!

Each year, Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge empower millions of students to:

✅ Learn heart-healthy habits
✅ Practice kindness and mental well-being
✅ Become lifesavers through Hands-Only CPR education

These free programs don’t just educate—they build safer, healthier communities by preparing the next generation to respond in emergencies and make heart-smart choices, while also providing give-backs to the school to help with their budgets.

Here’s where you come in: There are still schools that haven’t joined Kids Heart Challenge (elementary) or American Heart Challenge (middle and high) for this school year!

If there’s a school in your area – your child’s, grandchild’s, or simply one nearby – that might be interested in creating a safer community, we’d love your help making an introduction! All it takes is a few minutes.

Ready to get started and change and save lives? Click here to fill out our short interest form,  and we’ll follow up to bring our powerful program to the school if they don’t already participate.

When you open a door for the American Heart Association, you’re not just helping us launch a program—you’re helping us build healthier communities and helping kids with special hearts, like Ridge. Watch his story now.
