Maryland Advocacy takes on MACO!

This year, the American Heart Association were proud to take part in the Maryland Association of Counties (MACO) Summer Conference.

The event took place in Ocean City, Maryland August 12-14th. There, we had a table where people came by to learn more about our policy work, such as informed dining and healthy school meals legislation. We spoke with attendees about the importance of healthy school meals funding in a presentation, and we even had some folks win a prize pack for getting the most steps in!

The week was a great time to showcase the wonderful work the AHA does to make Maryland even more Heart Powered and helped us connect with many new supporters!
