Make a call to help save lives from cardiac arrest!

May 22, 2026

Big news- the Cardiac Emergency Response Plan (CERP) funding is included in the Senate K–12 budget. This is a huge step forward for protecting students across Michigan. But we’re not done yet.

Right now, state budget negotiations are heating up and decisions made over the next few weeks will determine what actually makes it into the final budget. This is our moment to take action and encourage your lawmakers to support this funding.

Call your Senator
Call your Representative
Call the Governor

We’ve built strong momentum with lawmakers, and the Senate inclusion shows that leaders are taking this seriously. But as negotiations move forward, priorities get trimmed, merged, or dropped and we need your voice to make sure CERP stays included.

Every student deserves a school that’s prepared to respond to a cardiac emergency with a plan, trained staff, and access to AEDs. We’re closer than ever to making that a reality statewide but we need a final push.

Together, we’ve gotten this far. Let’s keep the momentum going and get this across the finish line. Make a call to your lawmakers and tell them why cardiac emergency preparedness matters to you—whether it’s your child’s school, your community, or your work.
