Preparing Schools in Missouri for Sudden Cardiac Arrest

As schools begin to implement their Cardiac Emergency Response Plans (CERPs) for the 2026-2027 school year, the American Heart Association has created tools to assist.

Last year, the Missouri EMS Association, in partnership with the American Heart Association, Project ADAM, CARES, and local EMS agencies, kicked off a grant program that is funded by the Department of Health Senior Services. The fund has been created to assist schools in implementing Cardiac Emergency Response Plans (CERPs).
