Breaking News: T-CPR Becomes Law in Illinois!
Exciting news! On August 15th, Governor Pritzker signed Senate Bill 1295 into law, ensuring 9-1-1 operators throughout the state of Illinois are trained to coach callers on how to perform CPR until help arrives.
The ability to perform CPR after calling 9-1-1 before EMS arrives nearly doubles the chance of survival for out-of-hospital cardiac arrests. Now, all individuals across Illinois will receive this life-saving instruction, no matter what zip code they live in.
We thank the advocates who raised their voices in support of Telecommunicator CPR and helped to save lives in Illinois.
