Thank your lawmakers for passing the tobacco tax!
Great news! The Indiana Legislature has passed a $2 per pack tax increase on cigarettes and an equivalent increase on other tobacco products, including vapes and e-cigarettes! This is an incredible investment in the health of Hoosiers.
Please join us in thanking your legislators for passing this tax increase.
Tobacco use remains one of the leading causes of preventable death and disease. It is projected that this tax will prevent 7,000 youth from becoming smokers and entice 32,000 Hoosiers to quit smoking. By including a tax on vapes and e-cigarettes, people are further encouraged to quit smoking instead of switching to cheaper, still harmful alternatives. This means that thousands of people in Indiana will live healthier, smoke-free lives.
