Tell DC Council to keep kids fed for success!
Families in the District are struggling, and food costs remain unaffordable for many. But the DC Council can support our kids by funding Universal Free School Meals in the 2026 budget.
This common-sense policy would ensure that every public and charter school student in the District can receive breakfast, lunch, and after-school snacks at no cost.
The Council will begin their budget votes soon. Urge your councilmembers to fund free school meals.
When students receive healthy school meals throughout the day, they are better fueled for learning, which can lead to better academic performance, behavior, and health outcomes. District kids should be fed for success, so they have the right start to long term health and well-being.
Thanks for being a voice for kids and families in DC.
