Find Your People. Because Support Changes Everything.
November 3, 2026
A heart disease or stroke diagnosis can change life in an instant. Along with the physical challenges come questions, worries and the need for support from people who understand what you’re going through.
The American Heart Association’s newly enhanced Support Network is a free online community where patients, survivors, caregivers and loved ones can connect, share experiences and find encouragement from others who have walked a similar path.
Available 24/7, the Support Network offers discussion groups, virtual communities and meetings, one-on-one peer connections, support groups, personal stories and trusted health information. Whether someone is newly diagnosed, recovering from a heart event or stroke, managing a chronic condition, or caring for a loved one, they can find connections and resources tailored to their journey.
The Support Network also offers a meaningful way to begin or deepen your volunteer journey with the American Heart Association. Volunteers can turn lived experience into encouragement, trusted connection and hope for patients, survivors, caregivers and supporters.
No one should have to face heart disease or stroke alone. Wherever you are on your journey, the Support Network is here when you need it most.
