As we gear up for Oregon’s 2026 legislative short session, we are mobilizing around two critical priorities: securing sponsors for Universal School Meals and Cardiac Emergency Response Plans in Schools. These initiatives aim to ensure every child has access to nutritious meals and that schools are equipped to respond swiftly to cardiac emergencies—potentially saving lives.

The short session begins February 3, 2026, and runs for just 35 days, meaning only a limited number of bills will be considered. That makes early action essential. The deadline for presession bill filing is November 21, 2025, so now is the time to engage legislators and build support.
